Introduction

Mahendra Adarsha Vidyashram Secondary School is an inspiring community of smart and genuinely nice people from across the country . It has a magnificient history of more than half century providing education in English medium. It was established in 2015 B.S. with the sole aim to provide quality education by late Satyanarayan Bahadur Shrestha who was the great educationist of Nepal. It has got the top 4th position in the SLC examination 2054 B.S. and has been able to hold the position of top ten Boarding school of the country for several times. Moreover, it has been able to achieve excellent SLC result from the beginning. The single aim of this school is to provide education for all at the affordable cost. This school is neither private nor govenment but run by the Public Educational Trust under the Education Act and regulations. It is an 'A Grade' school established as per the government criteria having all basic physical and educational infrastructures.

School Uniforms

For the comfort and neatness in clothing MAV does not compel the pre-primary (Play group-Nursery-KG) children to put on any special uniform . For the other students, there are separate pairs of uniform from ‘Sunday & Monday’, ‘Tuesday & Wednesday’, ‘Thursday & Friday’ (House Dress)

Evaluation System

The school conducts 4 terminal examinations in a year. In addition of terminal exams, regular class tests and unit tests are also conducted for the regular evaluation of the students. The students should be passed in aggregate of 4 terminal exams for the class promotion.

Attendance

It is compulsory for all the students to attend their classes regularly. Those failing to attend less than 90% of the total classes shall not be permitted to appear in the Final/Board Examinations.
